Disaster Drill in Ahmedabad
Background
In recent years, urbanization, aging, economic changes and worsening health system problems have led to an increased awareness and need for emergency medical care throughout the world. Many of the countries in the early stages of developing EM as a specialty are reaching out for guidance from more mature systems.
For over 15 years, we have had significant impact on the growth of international emergency medicine. Our physicians have had success assisting the development of emergency healthcare systems, curriculum, faculty training, and residency education internationally. We support the promotion of international distance learning and the establishment of clinical rotations here in the United States and abroad. We also participate in the development of international emergency medicine as an academic fellowships and coordinate and conduct international research projects.
